On August 28, 2025, the SUPA71 Team, consisting of Dr. Kanokwan Suwannarong and Ms. Kannika Thammasutti, along with technical consultants from Lao PDR, including Dr. Bouasy Hongvanthong, Dr. Rattanaxay Phetsouvanh, and Mrs. Chanthalone Khamkong, as well as Dr. Boualay Norchaleun and Ms. Khamla Tongvanh from the National Center for Laboratory and Epidemiology (NCLE), visited Khammouan Provincial Hospital to conduct a monitoring visit for the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) project on behalf of the Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences (USAMD-AFRIMS). During this visit, we discussed with representatives from Khammouane Provincial Hospital, including Dr. Khamtay Phommachanh (Hospital Director), Mrs. Somphit Homsombat (Chief of Laboratory Unit), Ms. Phonelavy Souvannasing (Laboratory Technician), and Mrs. Oulayphone Choummany (Laboratory Technician), and gathered information regarding wastewater management from the hospital to the community.
