Dr. Kanokwan (Pook) Suwannarong, Director of SUPA71, participated as a panelist in the regional dialogue “Forest Health Future in Asia-Pacific: A One Health Dialogue,” convened by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on December 18, 2025. The event brought together senior experts, early-career researchers, and regional stakeholders to discuss the links between forest health, biodiversity, and human and animal health. The dialogue highlighted how forest ecosystem changes can increase risks such as zoonotic disease spillover and environmental degradation and emphasized the importance of the One Health approach for strengthening regional collaboration, research, and policy development in the Asia-Pacific region.
