SUPA71 Co., Ltd, (SUPA71), supported the Southeast Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN) in conducting a Regional Proposal Development Training from January 21–23, 2025. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) provided funds for the training designed to enhance the grant writing skills of One Health academic professionals throughout Southeast Asia. The training gathered participants from eight different countries, aiming to enable member universities to obtain external funding for One Health initiatives.
This 2.5-day training gathered a team of specialists to address Request for Proposal (RFP) analysis, grant writing structure and conceptual frameworks, budget estimation, and prevaling challenges in proposal development. They came from renowned organizations, including Khon Kaen University, the Kenan Foundation, and FHI 360 Asia Pacific Regional Office .14 academic professionals from Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam participated.
The training offered both lectures and practical experience in writing proposals suitable for submission to funding agencies. It also featured interactive discussions led by resource persons and experts, including Dr. Cecile Lantican, a Social and Behavioral Change Communication Specialist at SUPA71.
