SUPA71 conducted an “Evaluation of Utilization of Malaria Preventive Measures and Access to Malaria Case Management among Non-Thai Mobile Migrant Population in Malaria Transmission Areas in Thailand” (MMPs survey 2017) on malaria among migrants for Malaria Consortium.
This project aimed
- To evaluate the utilization of malaria preventive measures among Non-Thai Mobile Migrant Population in Malaria Transmission Areas in Thailand, and
- To evaluate access to malaria case management among Non-Thai Mobile Migrant Population in Malaria Transmission Areas in Thailand
Nearly 4,000 mobile populations (migrant) were interviewed in borders between Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia and Myanmar by using electronic data collection platform within two months (during November to December 2017). This was a challenge project due to new regulation toward migrants, however, the field implementation and database were successfully completed within the timeline.
