On August 12, 2025, SUPA71 Co., Ltd (SUPA71) team from Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia, participated in the workshop on Promoting Cooperation on Research and Innovation between the European Union and Thailand: “The European Union’s Global Gateway Investment Priorities in Higher Education and Research” as part of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) Science Fair 2025 in Bangkok.
Representing WP6 of the PANDASIA Project, SUPA71 shared both achievements and challenges ahead, from strengthening public health literacy in Thailand to building pandemic preparedness across Southeast Asia.
For SUPA71, this forum represents a strategic platform to expand research networks, showcase the contributions of Southeast Asian researchers in international collaborations, and emphasize the importance of integrating local knowledge with global research standards. Dr. Kanokwan Suwannarong and Dr. Cecile M. Lantican from SUPA71 specifically highlighted the issues of pandemic preparedness and the need to strengthen community capacities in Southeast Asia, which still require further improvement.
Through this forum, SUPA71 seeks to strengthen the role of Southeast Asian academics in a more inclusive global research ecosystem and to build future collaborations with international institutions in public health and community-based innovation.
